Witch's claw

Witch's claw

A Poem by Maleficent
"

A piece of ash fell upon my hand.

"
A piece of ash flew on my hand like a witch's claw
I was stuck, caught in her embrace
This untouchable little thing
So gently flew away upon my breath
I wished goodbye
For a curse foreign to me
But that hath kissed me anyway

Four walls which enclose a story
Of a tale so lonely and solitary
Can so magically fly away
As the little hand of ash had as well
Because a curse so man-made
Can avoid its doom to fester
Upon my breath, again
A final goodbye to an extension of the past
So effortlessly unfurled by a witch's grace
