eclipsedA Poem by Ross Davison
fester
this
unattainable
sore of beauty
one
flash
glance
speaks
of
distain.
unworthy of
a second
delve
rampant whole(some)hearted
solid sweet delectably
old fashioned
humility
the source of laughter
snuggles and
toes so
flutter together.
but my shell is scarred
grotesque, (though handsomely
average)
and my pages
would lull you into heaven
your loss(.)
is
mine
to
ponder
with a
shrug.
