short Caribbean hymn

short Caribbean hymn

A Poem by Rose Black

Oh islands in the sun,
Where all the Caribbean folks come from,
Over rolling green hills and mango tree tops,
Over many cane fields and the cocoa crops.

There's no autumn nor winter in the Caribbean isle,
Just the tropical breeze and the natives warm summer smile,
With a wide toothed grin and a twinkling eye,
From those Caribbean folks
Who may be boisterous or shy.

The beach on the other hand, is a place to ponder,
Makes us excited, hmmmm, Makes me really wonder,
The corals, the reefs it's marvelous down under,
Come visit ! it's my warm invite to you folks out yonder.
