respiration

A Poem by katie

Breathing in toxic fumes

Like a pro

But without the need

Unique in this

While others conform,

Crave.

While consumed

with fluidity,

a volatile nature

Craving to feel small,

insignificant

To never let another control

or mold.

Irony, because that craving

is control

Which molds into a person

Who must fit standards.

Transcend.

Inhale fresh air

Remember how change transforms

And have confidence in chaos.

In chance

In risk

The risk taken with each breath

Toxic or otherwise.

Inhaling is just as important as exhaling.
