The Confessional Stand.

The Confessional Stand.

A Poem by Eirinn

You were made fantastically.
The atoms and particles that joined forces
To form structure out of a world so full of nothing;
yet more of anything than any ever was.

Come closer, let me see.

They make art, the hands, of course
And there’s so much that I haven’t seen yet
The art on the walls
Of tomorrow
As the structure of your figure changes
With science.

You were made fantastically.

Hold up.

Words come harder than solidity
And depict so much of so little.
That is why it’s easy.
Easy to say things to circumvent the problem,
Circumvent the truth
And lead astray minds.
I can make you think something I do not mean
By a mislead comma
Or an irrefutable misplaced sentence.

I apologize…
I have done so already.

The issue at hand has been avoided entirely.

I am a professional digression.

The world is beautiful.
But as are you.
In a way, in a light,
Can’t we all be?

And all these letters, typing, words
To say a simple nothing not yet said.
All for three words,
Eight letters
One breath.

Gulping, here we go.

I like you.
