Valentine

Valentine

A Poem by rosemary keogh

A box of choc’s a beautiful rhyme.

A bunch of red  roses a bottle of wine.

A ring if I’m lucky. Yeah one of a kind.

That’s what I want from my Valentine.

A beautiful dress and all of the trimmings.

Stockings suspenders he’s on to a winner.

He will be so proud when he takes me for dinner.

Dancing the tango feeling alive.

That’s what I want from my valentine.

I laughed and smiled at the end of your poem, truly understanding your hopes, they're like so many women waiting with baited breath .. but unfortunately, not every woman can put her dreams into words. A sweet and charming poem - with a touch of cheekiness. :)
