Old and lonelyA Poem by rosemary keoghI am 90 years of age. I am old but I’m still here. I’ve lived and worked so hard. My memories not so good. My legs are weak and frail. Arms they are not so strong, But they help me push myself upon, my frame so I can walk. My children they dont help. There busy this I know. That’s why they seldom call. I’m feeling so alone. My husband passed away. His heart was not so strong. I miss him every day, I wonder were it all went wrong. I’m frightened and so nerves in this empty house alone. I pray to god to help to help me trough every day that I’m alone.
