There is chance for redemption

Because I have to find you

Because I love you

That you still remember me

I can forgive you

I have forgiven you

Through all the wounds

You’ve given me

 

I’m willing to stay

To be subject to torment and pain

Because I love you

Because I have to find you someday

However deeply you’ve hurt me

I’ll never leave your side

There is still kindness in your heart

There is hope for both of us

So now you see

Why I can’t leave

My heart is laid bare

I hope you see clearly

 

You’re shocked

But your gaze met mine

You reach out a hand

And I take it

 

And tears well up in my eyes

Because suddenly I see it

The goodness I’ve been searching for

The love I longed to feel

 

I believed that

No matter the trials

I’d find you someday

And today, I found you
