It's been years since you were gone

I've played it over and over again

Remembering every detail

In my mind

Your face

Your words

You lips curled in a sneer

You weren't the man I remember

And through all these years

The thing that hurts the most

Is the question that drove me

To the edge of insanity

What if I had never let you go?

If I had only tried to understand?

If you told me what was on your mind?

What if we could redo it all?

If I was brave enough to tell you I love you?

If you stayed and tried to listen?

What if we could somehow start over?

Where are you now?

What are you thinking of?

Does your heart ache because of me

The way mine aches because of you?

Years have passed

I still love you more than words can tell

Would you never leave me be?

Never stop haunting me?

But it's too late now

I like it.It is a nice poem.I can feel how she is still in love with him,after all these years.You manage to show those emotions in the poem and I think that is great!
