Strange how well you know me

Something at my core

Tells me that maybe

We've met before

In some distant dream, perhaps

Where you had taken my hand

And held me close

In a strange, foreign dance

Strange how you understand me

When no one listens

You're right there beside me

Right there, till the end

Strange how we're so alike

Through all our differences

We're each other's light

Through all our darkness

You fill that empty part of me

Deep down within

You've set me free

And I gladly let you in

You see me like no other saw me

When I was hurt

You didn't just let me be

You gave me comfort

You are my light

My life, my hope

We're meant for each other

And our souls know

Author's Note

So, I've been spewing out poems like crazy. :D This one came from exploring the idea of soulmates in my mind. Doesn't seem complete, but then I've always been at loss of how to end my poems. It seems right though, so I'm ending it here. :D Hope you like it!
