Dear Santa Claus,
I don't want a teddy bear or a book or a doll this year. I want Mommy and Daddy to stop yelling at each other. Mommy says they're just talking about things, but I think she's lying. Mommy hates Daddy. Every night they wake me up with their screaming. It's all my fault. It started the time I asked Mommy if we could move back to North Carolina, where there was snow. Then Mommy started yelling at Daddy. You don't have to give me a present this year, since I've been a bad, bad little girl, but I promise I'll be good all year long if things could go back to normal this Christmas. I just want my Mommy and Daddy together again. I just want them to love each other and to love me.
Merry Christmas,
Abby
