My Hear is Thine

My Hear is Thine

A Poem by Rose of Gondor

My heart is thine,

I long not for glory,

Nor fame nor victory.

My desire is merely

Thee.

The divine flame of love

Doth burn within me.

I do not wither.

I do not wilt.

I am the flower of the desert.

This heat doth not frighten,

Nor scar me.

My heart is thine.

Thou art my light,

And that doth sustain.

Thou art my dream,

And that doth extend.

Doth thou think of me?

Doth thou long for me

As I thee?

Or do I merely dream?

My heart is thine,

I long not for glory,

Nor fame nor victory.

My desire is merely

Thee.
