Why?A Poem by Rose of GondorI don’t see how You can change So fast One day righteousness itself And the next the voice of evil I don’t see how You could forget who you are How you could let evil Cloud your mind Do you not remember me? Your friend? Your sister? Do you not remember those sun-filled days When we laughed and played In the sun? Do you not remember the time? The day we lay on our backs in the grass And you told me everything: Your dreams, your hopes, your fears. You were so beautiful So full of life So kind and strong But that was before The eclipse came When the sun was drowned You changed You became wild Angry Savage and unreasonable You remembered nothing No one Not even I I who was your sister I don’t see why it had to be you I remember thinking That you were so strong And how I seem to be so weak So feeble and frail In comparison How easily I could be swallowed By shadow But in the end it was you You gave in to darkness And now I cry in the middle of the night Wondering why it hadn’t take me Instead © 2011 Rose of GondorAuthor's Note
