Boys V. S. Girls (From a Girl's Point of View)

Boys V. S. Girls (From a Girl's Point of View)

A Poem by Rose of Gondor

Boys V. S. Girls

A fight that has gone on

For far too long

It is not our fault

That boys like

To hate us

And we are forced

To hate them back

It is the only way

To keep ourselves strong

In the battlefield

It is not our fault

That boys like

To tug our hair

To start a food fight

Just because one of us

Is wearing something pretty and new

It is not our fault

That boys like

To sneer and leer and jeer

At us

To put a spider in our shoes

Just to hear us scream

It is not our fault

That boys like

To laugh at us

To make us feel

Driven to the breaking point

To make us cry

We don't want a fight

So why do they?

We don't like bloodshed

So why do they?

We don't want to hate them

So why do they?

So is it to be war between us?

Boys V.S Girls

You hate us

We hate you

A never-ending war

Author's Note

Rose of Gondor
Wrote this because I have the nagging feeling that almost all the guys I know hate me. Hmm, I wonder why. Well, I wrote it mostly because I got picked on. By the boys. And my swim team coach who's also a guy. I don't understand. Why is it that even grown-up guys hate me?
