Song of My Soul

Song of My Soul

A Poem by Rose of Gondor

Can you hear

The song of my soul?

Do you hear

The ringing bells?

The trilling flute?

The graceful violin?

The steady cresendo?

Can you hear

The song of my soul?

The voice

Of that music

Barely above a whisper?

Do you hear

The flowing piano?

The steady drums?

The rich viola?

The jumpy staccatos?

Can you hear

The song of my soul?

The orchestra

My very own

Plays for those

Who listens with their hearts

At first

I may seem a mystery

A girl who hides behind

Her sheet music

Her voice

Her instrument

Timid and shy

Unwilling to let people understand

But if they tried hard enough

Listened hard enough

Stayed long enough

They can hear

The song of my soul

The steady cresendo

The sweet chiming of the bells

The flute gently gliding over silver sweet notes

The voice whispering in song

They would know me

The song of my soul

Awwww! That's so pretty:) I love the instruments and I love how you used them to describe yourself. Genius!!!!

Amazingness! That may not be a word but sometimes actual words can't sufficiently describe something. The poem actually sounded like a song. I was saying it in my head and it felt like there was some kind of tune. Beautiful poem!!! Do your best! =)
