Sometimes we feel so empty inside...

I hadn’t heard from you

For a while now

Didn’t know how you were

Didn’t know what was going on

 

And I never asked

I didn’t check

For a long while I simply

Pushed you to the back of my mind

 

Now looking back on it

I wonder if it’s my fault

I wonder if I could’ve been able

To block that blow

 

One day you disappeared

But I never looked

What kind of person am I

That I’d leave my friends alone?

 

I don’t know what you needed

I don’t know why you did it

But I was too late to stop it

I never even tried

 

I miss you, you know that?

I miss you so much

But I may not see you again

Nothing is certain

 

Every day, Earth goes on spinning

Every day, life goes on and on

But nothing is ever the same again

The world is empty now

 

And always I’m wondering

Where you are

Always I hope

That somehow, you’re alright

 

Heaven sheds great tears

And I shed tears of blood

Where are you now?

Can you hear me?

 

So I clasp my hands

And close my eyes

There’s nothing left to do

But ask heaven for strength

 

Strength for you

Strength for me

Strength to fill the great

Emptiness inside

 

I miss you, you know

I miss you so much it hurts

As if my heart is

Empty

 

It’s been a month now

How are you?

I’ve forgotten your voice

I’ve forgotten your face

 

I’ll miss you forever

If we do not meet again

This emptiness I feel

Will never leave

 

And I’ll stay here

Never changing

Never living

Forever
