I Miss You

I Miss You

A Poem by Rose of Gondor

I miss you

Miss you so much it hurts

Hurts like nothing’s ever

Hurt before

Where you once were

So empty, so cold

It’s almost as if you’ve never

Actually been here with me

You’re gone now

And I have to leave you behind

It’s not healthy walking among

The ghosts of the past

Do you know how much I want

To touch your face?

To see you smile at me

And tell me it’s okay

And the memories they kill me

Haunting me with your voice

Haunting me with your laughter

Making me miss you more

I miss you

Miss you so much it hurts

Hurts like nothing’s ever

Hurt before

I’ll never forget you

Never stop missing you

You’ll always be

In my heart

I miss you
