Lost

My own words and lies swallow me

Turmoil rising in my heart

I don’t remember which path to take

For I am left alone in the dark

 

Lost and wandering in the snow

Where, in the end, will my feet take me?

To pain or to healing? To joy or to sorrow?

For I do not know where my fate lies

 

Down this winding road

A dim light lingers

It calls to my unspoken hope

And yet I cannot reach it

 

For I am lost

Trapped in my own dark dreams

A prisoner of my mind

As the days fly past into shadow

 

My feet take me far

Yet to where I cannot tell

Every path looks the same

Which of ways lead out?

 

I cannot see the sun

For I am lost

Too deep within myself

Lost, without guidance

 

And though I may not admit

That I am walking in circles

In truth, I am lost

Will no one help me?

 

If I called for aid

Would you come to me?

Would you forgive all?

Would you save me?

 

Would you guide me?

Would you leave me?

Would you love me?

I do not know.

 

I am lost.

 

 

Author's Note

Sometimes I feel lost, unsure which is the right way, what path to take. This is just a way to vent my feelings.
