"Even the strongest lion can't detain a thousand sheep." Love it. That is an awesome line. I think this is referring to how China is, simply put. They were a sleeping giant and now they are a superpower. "The cat that leaves the bag for curiosity is killed." From that (Which is another awesome line) I got that if you try other ways you will be shunned.
I agree. A forgotten force. Beat USA in Korean and the Vietnam war. Sleeping giant is waiting. I liked your thoughts. We should hold concern. Thank you Rose for sharing the excellent poetry. Left something for the reader to think about.

When I first saw that you had a poem about China's success and power, I expected it couldn't be good. But I came in with an open mind and as I read it, I saw how impressive it really is. The words and phrases used give quite the impression of power and ambition. You used excellent metaphors that are present in many of the lines to strengthen that impression of power.
My analysis of the poem is that the politicians of China are boasting about their rapidly growing power, and telling that they will soon rise above all other powers and conquer them all. However, one line seems to contradict this message; "Even the strongest lion can't detain a thousand sheep." It sounds to me like China is the lion, and the other countries are the sheep. So this is saying that even as powerful as China may be, it can't take on the power of all the other countries combined. So does that mean that this is not in the point of view of China, but the rest of the world telling China that they will continue to grow exponentially until they try to take over the world, leading to their own downfall? But yet the rest of the lines suggest this is being told by China, do maybe I simply misinterpreted that line?
This poem is well written. Keep it up.

That line is actually supposed to represent China's population and the power they have from that - the lion is actually the other countries, it's meant to portray the fact that a lot of China's power lies in its numbers and even strong nations who do things counteract some of China's evils (e.g pollution) are in vain because of this. The rest of your analysis was on point, thank you very much! Your critique is greatly appreciated.
