The Modern Pirate

The Modern Pirate

A Poem by R. Cygnet
"

A poem for a contest

The modern pirate has no ship,

Nor cutlass or compass,

At his hip.

He maneuvers not the seven seas,

But instead ignores

Copyright fees.

This is for a contest. The challenge was to write a "Pirate poem". I've never done (or even thought about) it before, so I had a lot of fun with it. :D Please comment. I'm not entirely sure of its accuracy. ^_^;

Piracy! Arrr! xD

I'm no pirate *looks around shifty eyed* erm. *coughs*

I like this. It's definitely original. If I were told to write a pirate poem, I certainly would not have thought of this. Good write.

Cheers.

About
I've always loved writing. It could be anything from a vivid and strange dream, to a random thought that intrudes my mind while I'm brushing my teeth. The problem is, I rarely finish what I wri more..
