The Modern Pirate

The Modern Pirate

A Poem by R. Cygnet
"

A poem for a contest

The modern pirate has no ship,

Nor cutlass or compass,

At his hip.

He maneuvers not the seven seas,

But instead ignores

Copyright fees.

This is for a contest. The challenge was to write a "Pirate poem". I've never done (or even thought about) it before, so I had a lot of fun with it. :D Please comment. I'm not entirely sure of its accuracy. ^_^;

I like it. The comparison is so cute, not to mention funny. It's really short, but the impact was there. This is an excellent piece of art. There are even rhymes. Good Job.

Keep Writing. Poems like this are surely worth reading. ^___^
