Lady Lust

Lady Lust

A Poem by Rosauro Brillantes

Got kissed by my darker side last night
What a sight
To feel so madly, blissfully in love
At first, I walked with Ms. "From-High-Above"
A lady all dressed in white
Familiar, despite
I didn't see her face
But that's not really the case
My arm around her waist
Though my mind was feeling chaste
We talked
We walked
She was cold. I gave her my coat
Then, like a side note
I hear another girl call out my name
With no shame
I leave the lady I embrace
I made haste
Turn to the side of a familiar lust
With just
The right amount of love so fake
Still, to her body I take
And kiss her lips with much desire
My heart set ablaze on fire
Such blinded want
My dreams shall haunt
The closer I pull her towards me
The greater the chance it will never be
Though I deplore it, my mind is set
Time makes me forget
