This Man

This Man

A Poem by Rosauro Brillantes

There is this man in the mirror
And he stands there all day
He looms over behind me
And he won't go away

So I decided to smash the mirror
So I would see him no more
He doesn't loom behind me
He likes to hide behind my door

So I kept my door closed
So he'd have no place to hide
This morning I looked out the window
And caught him looking in from outside

I asked my mom to do something
Only for her to be baffled and confused
The man stood between my mother and I
His evil grin told me he was amused
