Somewhere Lost In TimeA Poem by Rosauro BrillantesIt's been a long while since I have written any new pieces until I stumbled upon something "old" that inspired me.He took her by the hand And looked her in the eye Made sure she'd understand No need to question why
"I left something in the past Wait for me while I'm gone And please do not ask If I'll be back by dawn"
So she let go of his hold Cried great tears of despair And like the winter cold Hung her breath right in the air
The days, they turned to weeks And the months grew to years Her heart, just like antiques Thinned out just like veneer
He did not return to her For they never had a start Judgements were a blur For in the past he was searching for his heart © 2011 Rosauro BrillantesAuthor's Note
