Lonely Euler

Lonely Euler

A Poem by Rosauro Brillantes

She's like Euler's identity

Beauty defined by simplicity

Altogether defined by a wondrous sum

With 0, π, e, i, and 1

Lo and behold, my common brain

Their complexity causes much disdain

And as I try to understand

Her thoughts I cannot comprehend

So just like i, our relations are

Imagined like the furthest star

And quite like π - so casual

Makes her and I irrational

Take 1, that's me, and index the two

A singularity I won't assume

With deployed into its space

Lets me show her my true face

I can conclude my 1's not alone

And rejoice it in a happy tone

I checked my work and found a fault

Sadly 0 is my end result
