Abyss

Abyss

A Poem by Alice Grey

Hypocrisy

Vast as the glare

From the honey moon

On a gloomy October night

Underneath my skin

A corpse

Cries to a reflection of lies

Black as a tunnel

Deep as night

My heart is a red ribbon

Stained with grease

The devil smiles

As I lie in bed and my eyes darken

With the tide of guilt

The ceiling fan freezes my tears

As the clock strikes one
