talking like a stranger

talking like a stranger

A Poem by Forevergone

Well I guess I talked like a stranger
every time I talked to you
Words running into each other
Mouth barely moving
Words barely uttered

I must have talked like some stranger
every time I saw you
Never looking at each other
Never touching one another
Barely getting by

I know I talk like a stranger
Because after everything I told you
Every sound I made
Every word I uttered
Your reason for breaking up with me
Was that you never heard anything

Communication is so big in a relationship...when only one listens the a solid foundation can't be built... for communication leads to compromise and compassion... a wonderful write that is the heart of so many break ups.
