                                                          Temperature Rising

                                                 

                                                  Inside my heart

                                                   like a desert high  

                                                   setting off a spark

                                                        feelings arid

                                                    thereby my side

 

                                                 every thought of you

                                                   makes two Doves fly

                                         their wings are stretched like

                                       ♥    ♥ hearts on a string

                                                             the wind 

                                                          pulls them in 

                                                                  like   

                             ''flames of a twin''  

                                                      fighting to tame

                                                  these feelings  I hold

Great piece! I really like the style! It will be even beautiful if 'arid these feelings' becomes 'these arid feelings'. However, it is just a friendly suggestion of mine! Great writing style! :)

Thank You for your suggestion, I'll take it:) all day I had trouble with this one..changing words etc..My thought was to leave it up to the readers or just wait it out until something comes to mind..It is a good poem. You're very welcome! I also had that same circumstance! We are too overwhelmed by our feelings that while we write it, we were not conscious of these sneaky words. We thought at first that it is fine, however, it is otherwise. Great job again! :)

Well written piece about when your feelings towards someone are so strong but still somehow stay inwards ..you've expressed a very relatable feeling in quite a different way.
