Lost in ConnecticutA Poem by poetry-kiddo alienbabaA sad magical love story much ahead of Merlin's times.Lost in Connecticut Beautiful people on every side, Homes and Folks under Azure skies, Zooming vehicles ...skidding Tyres.... Clearly reflected in your lovely eyes. In such serenity I've never been, Such wondrous sights Ive never seen, Walking on with you beside, My heart so glad had never been! Walk on we do in this Labyrinth, Lost we are in shadows beneath... But what do we care, for roads and lanes, Or buses and Planes.... Sense of direction in our brains, Adrenaline pumping in our veins, We dash across the Zebra crossing, Our way we keep on missing But my hand you are possessing, Lost again; always wrong guessing! Suddenly you feel the breeze in your hair, The unmistakable fragrance of salty air, Two Doves above; we too are a pair, Anxiously we make our way there. Lo! Behold the sea, the open sea before me, Our fatigue is forgotten let it be, Down by the water-line we sit you and I, Should I say now I love Thee? Now not now, not again! Words can wait another time another place but not too late, Suddenly warning me bells in my head, Recapitulation, solemn vows I had made.... Over is the fun back to square-one, Ended before it begun, Faded with the setting sun, Its in our stars we can blame no one And still we are lost in a Connecticut Town!
