I must admit the Beatles song came to mind as soon as I started to read, Happiness is A Warm Gun...which goes in the opposite direction of your work, but that's where my head goes...'Mother Superior jump the gun'

Hello Frieda I am happy for you are happy too.
Remembered mother Superior...once a year visit to our Girls Axilium convent school.
The Beatles are everywhere even in beach-beds.
Guns are just vessels for the dark angels wrath.
This one... the receiver of a reward from you.
I feel down the well...out of which this one grew:)

Ha, I assume that made you happy! When I went to Catholic school, Mother Superior used to swat all the boys with rulers....I was so happy to be a girl. :-)

She was a witch, I still can see her face, poor boys I always felt so sorry for them...something that stays with you...I remember thinking why is god letting her get away with this if he's so mighty, like it was yesterday.

I taught math and physical science in a convent school.... try being a male teacher, under 36, non-catholic for some of the sisters I was the devil incarnate.

This reads well. It has a whimsical almost ethereal feel to it. The colors were a bit difficult for these old eyes to read, but nicely done. Happiness is unique to the beholden.

All math is weird ;-) Writing makes me happy. Unless it's editing season (which it is...only here in the cafe on break)...thanks for sharing this one with us; it's good to be reminded of what makes us happy.

My most memorable math teacher, Mrs. Dockwiller, used to stand at the board with a piece of chalk in her hand and she could hold her arm up for the duration of the class...like 35 minutes...without having to put it down, and I used to think...why isn't her arm going numb? Tell me that's not weird xD (I take it you teach math?)

My most inspiring math teacher was Mr Arthur Hall he also taught me chess and my claim to fame is that I forced Harry Golombek ( International master and honorary Grandmaster) to a draw when I was 13. After the game ... he was amazed and so was Mr Hall... I went and made him a cup of tea.

He also got me to meet .... indirectly.... Professor Sir Hermann Bondi... for whom I am eternally grateful. My joyful journey into maths and physics can be attributed to him.... and Mr Hall. Bondi, a man who successfully changed his high-powered jobs over and over againi was described, in his obituary:"With enthusiasm and alacrity, he leapt from job to job, claiming - with typical black humour - that it was bad for anyone to get into a rut because "ruts are like graves, only longer". What, my dear friends, has this to do with the enjoyable poem at the start of this digression, I do not know. But that is the sort of journey Maths can take you on..... unlike the the spiteful tightlipped teachers of arithmetic who cripple students's minds with sarcasm and spite and who terrify so many children into innumeracy or numerophobia. Fifteen years later I took some of my really bright students to a lecture Prof Bondi was giving. I shook his hand and a shed a tear in thanks for starting me off without he knowing it.

I also remember meeting a very creative and intelligent musician, writer and inventor of weird ideas and contraptions from Shambala in writers cafe. Mmmm 'tis a mystery that I do not know his real name.

Nice hippy style poem with some good pics, I notice you play an old Fender Strat. Mine is so old it`s very hard to tune, but sounds like an angel taking a shower. So regards from here to you.

Hi Leslie...glad the Fender caught yer attention....Its an U.S Stratocaster body and pickups...with a koren Strat neck..it seems two fenders had been thrown in the garbage bin after being damaged...so this friend of mine got the pieces to me....and we assembled the discarded guitars and putin electronices from other old guitars...:) good u found the poem too....that foto was at a show i played...there i am singing Bon Jovi..."in these arms"
