What MattersA Poem by roobatoA poem about the inner struggle, and the inner resolution.Standing in the hallway of traffic, surrounded by burnt leaves and towering monoliths, Looking up into the endless monochrome void, A realization showers upon my halfhearted being. Everything seems to fall into place. Everything falls into nothing, and everything makes sense. Nothing becomes everything, and all the cares in the world vanish with it. Like a forest on fire, I gather momentum, and pull myself forward. Head as light as a feather, as empty as a hole. Yet with enlightenment present. All the priorities arrange themselves in a perfect structure, A circle so transparent, even a fool could comprehend. Even in total solitude and a perfect state, mind tries to throw unruly accusations. All fireballs with no blaze, and no destinations. All ignored, for the structure of perfection cannot be fractured. The evolution of this character observable, With many shortcomings, many fading. But to myself I must inquire, what is this ghastly desire? I have so much, and what I have, I never admire. A challenge to be defeated, one gladiator to undergo the trial.
