Words Possess PowerA Poem by roobatoA poem about the greatest power wielded by humankind.Words, words possess power, A power unlike any tool, in any drawer. Power to bring happiness, and smite it just as fast, Power to make lives, and end them just as fast. The inequalities of the world show with their presence, For their power depends on the wielder. The power of identity rests upon their shoulders, A great responsibility, often mishandled carelessly. Like a curse they come, Only to be lifted by their rightful owner. I too have been their victim, Many times, with my curse lifted.
