I remember

I remember

A Story by ron

I remember

I remember walking down the reception line as we got off the plane from GETMO that landed at Los Alamitos Air Military base.

I remember the faces of the VIP’s in that line being a blur because of your face,

a face that made everything I did worthwhile.

As you poked your head out of the reception line to surprise me and jumped into my arms and wouldn’t let me go…I knew what love of a daughter for her father felt like.

I remember you jumping into my arms; I remember your tears that told me I was home.

I remember how proud you were of me.

I remember the look in your eyes that told me that you always loved me.

Guess I Fucked that up.

How could I ever be your father when I fell so far from your grace?
