Scotland proud

Scotland proud

A Poem by ron
"

This is about the Scottish in me that will stand and fight to keep my freedom as my ancestors did in Scotland against oppression.

"

Scotland proud

In the early mornings light,

swords sharp and waving,

the bright eyes of Scotland look on.

Was it the sight of a highlander’s way,

or was it the brave that stood their ground,

that made you falter?

Na I say Na our freedom was the strength that lead us on.

Scotland’s bravery and strength held the ground,

the war steads held the tip of the spear that pierced through the ranks,

worriers on the heels of the war steads,

broke the backs of those that would steel our freedom.

So let the cloud or tyranny pass like the ashes of fire,

let it burn in the memory of those that witnessed its true form.

Let our sons and daughters live a free life,

void of oppression,

void of the false laws of those that would try to control us.

Let the Scotland in us all be the light that breaks through the darkness of oppression, tyranny, and the will of those that would try to control us.

Take up your swords and spears,

take the ground that was taken from you by politicians.

Take back your freedom,

take back what your birth right granted you,

by law of the land and your ancestor’s.

Form ranks,

hold spears at the ready,

make sharp your sword,

and be willing to give your life,

for a belief that America can stand the test of time.
