in the blink of a breath.

 

A sigh means more when I think of you,

my heart beats a thousand times,

a thousand grains of your sand stills my heart.

 

When I look into your eyes I see love,

one step closer to a thousand years of bliss I will weep.

 

I dream of holding you in my arms,

feeling my heart beat against yours,

a thousand times and more.

 

My heartbeat tied to yours for a thousand years.

 

Sigh and I will hear you,

dream and I will hold your hand,

breathe and I will be your breath.

 

My love for you will stand a thousand years longer than,

any Empire ever stood,

for you are my Empire,

my Kingdom,

my Shangri-La.

 

So let the fire balls of passion fly,

let the battering rams beat against us,

let the arrows fly,

let swords cut deep.

 

When the dust clears,

and the world is silent,

they will see my love for,

a love that is pure.

 

As the sun sets on the world,

the world will see the light of our love shinning bright,

brighter than a thousand stars screaming.

 

A thousand heart beats beating as one,

in the moonlight.

 

Now you know I will love you for a thousand years and more.

I love this. I love the song. I love your technique, your tone. The repetition of 'thousand' and references to cosmic things somehow manage to bring out eruptions and a hearts'
