I have become what you want,

what other wanted me to be

and less of who I am.

 

I no longer know who or what I am,

I am numb to life.

 

I don’t blame you,

it was never a plan in your mind,

it just happened.

Other peoples influences can have a great influence on us. That is why we must never do the same to others.

It's discouraging how we often lose ourselves while trying to achieve people's expectations. It's okay to feel numb and I must say, the song goes along perfectly with this piece. We can't live our lives shadowing others or following in their footsteps. We must live our own path and achieve our goals.

is a wonderful thought, but the truth of the matter is that some of us do live our lives to please others...no matter the cost to ourselves.
