We were more than what they wanted us to beA Poem by ronAnother poem for my Wolfhound brothers in 3/27We
were more than what they wanted us to be
Could
you forgive what we did in…?
Of
the life we lived I can only say, we
did what we knew we were supposed to do.
So
if your hatred of us has become more than what it was, I’m
sorry we could never be what you wanted us to be.
We
did what others could not, and
if that means you hate us… just
remember that what we did at the time, allows
you to say you disagree with us today.
We
did what you could not nor would not do, we
did it for your right for you to hate us, we
did it so you could scream form the rooftops… “I
hate you.”
We
did it for the things you could never understand, but
know that we support your right to disagree with what we did, with
the hatred in your words, you
scream because you are free to do so.
We
did it for reasons not even we do did understood then, but
now we see that everything we did, you
have through away.
So
when you say you hate us, all
you tell us is that you hate what you have become, while
we know what we were than, and
now.
