My good bye

My good bye

A Poem by ron

My good bye

Holding a bayonet,

I only wish I had the courage to pierce it,

through my heart.

I have hurt and let down so many times,

yet so many friends I have had in such a short time.

So many have filled my heart with such love and friendship,

I find it hard to even think of such thoughts.

But I do this even on the eve of my life,

for how can I be a man when I have let down so many.

If I were a real man I would end it all now and save others from the pain of knowing me.

I wish my life could be more than it was,

more than it is.

If anyone knows my daughter Heaven N. Pope In Idaho…

Please tell her I love her.

There is great catharsis in writing these things down. Thank you for having the courage to share.

Thank you KL.
i will not pretend to understand what you are going through...

but i do want you to know this poem is finding its way to others...

and that like me

they care about your fate

please be strong

and let the peace of Christ fill your heart

Thank you. I agree, but sometimes I feel that I don't have the courage to stand where I am now.
