In rows they marched for freedomA Poem by ronIn
rows they marched for freedom
On
dawns early morning light they stood, looking
across the battlefield their resolve stood strong.
With
cannon fire and the crack of muskets, their
hearts held fast.
Forward
in lines and columns, shoulder
to shoulder they advanced.
As
the ones to left and the right of them fell, they
stood strong.
In
their hearts they knew that their mission and duty was clear… freedom
for all was the cry they heard.
In
the watch fires they saw their brothers that had fallen that day, they
had seen their duty clear, they
knew what must be protected above all else.
So
our savior spoke and they answered the call, glory
was answer, and
freedom was the question.
Take
no man’s rights from them, for
when the rights of free men are taken, the
souls of us all are placed on the fiery alter of tyrants.
Whether
it be by our leaders or the, will
of those who view freedom as a sin, we
will stand against them; one and all.
If
one man would stand on the field of honor, and
proclaim his freedom, against
the tyrants of the world, than
behind him stands, a
Nation hell bent on freedom.
How
could the world shaped by tyrants, ever
stand against the power of freedom, a
freedom that was born in the blood by our forefathers, passed
down to us, by
right of God.
The
richness of freedom, is
not given to those that would abuse it, but
given to those who hold it in their hearts.
I
am just one word, my
voice is small and timid, but
in the conviction of the words of my forefathers, freedom
and democracy will forever, stand
strong and lead the world to freedom.
