I die a thousand deaths every dayA Poem by ronI
die a thousand deaths every day
To
feel your lips pressed to mine, that
we never felt.
To
feel your heart beat, from
afar.
Your
touch I felt, in
your words.
How
close we were to having true love, how
we felt true loves heartbeat.
Within
our reach, it
was torn away before we ever knew each other.
In
my crumbled heart, I
can still feel you there, holding
me, touching
my heart, kissing
my soul.
Chained
to you love is my heart, bonds
that I placed willingly.
They
say a knight is nothing without his spurs, you
are the spurs of my heart.
For
how could I…a knight, be
true without your love.
Without
you my armor will rust, my
shield splintered, my
sword dull,
my spurs lost in the rivers of forbidden love. © 2015 ronAuthor's NoteReviews
