How my heart doth break

How my heart doth break

A Poem by ron

How my heart doth break

Wrapped in its shell,

it beat softly,

barely making a sound.

Gentle as the wind,

soft as the suns rays,

you kissed my heart from so far away.

You awoke what had long been dead,

you sprinkled it with passion,

and made its beat be heard once again.

Than with the softness of fractured glass,

my heart broke when you spoke of another.

It’s true that he was there,

and I could not.

So with silent tears I let you go,

in the hopes your heart would be happy,

and not waste your time on mine that was never worthy.

Than when you left him (your reasons were sound),

you came back into my heart.

You gave me hope that we would never again part.

And again you pull away…

you say you are not worthy of me,

but never explained why.

Did it ever occur to you,

that I was the one who never felt worthy?
