When you feel down

When you feel down

 

 

I’ll be here with you,

in the light of your thoughts.

 

Look beside you and you will feel my footprints,

next to yours.

 

So when you feel alone and the darkness closes in,

I will be the light holding you.

 

When the cold of loneliness seeps into your soul,

I will the blanket that comforts you.

 

Count the stars in the midnight’s sky,

a hundred times more,

I will be there in your time of need.

 

I will be the wind that whispers,

“you’re not alone”,

I will be the arms holding you tight.

 

My strength is yours to draw from,

all of who I am is yours to make you whole.

 

After your whole I will walk a path off into the horizon,

but if you ever need me,

look beside you and you will feel my footprints,

next to yours.
