On this nightA Poem by ronOn
this night
On
this holy night, he
was born.
In
the winter’s night he came to us, hope
rejoiced for his coming.
Three
kings came and left treasures, for
him to give to the world.
Tonight
divine, the
child king lay in a humble cradle..
On
this night all fell silent, and
stood still for the child king.
Wise
men and all, heard
the voice of Angels, they
heard the voice divine, and
wept when the child touched a poor shepherd, and
with his eyes asked him to play.
For
you might be small in life, but
in deeds… you
are king and queen among men.
On
your knees he will hear your, prayers.
On
your heart I will hear, love
pure.
On
this night, this
Holly night, your
voice will be heard by Angels.
Your
voice will join with others and bring in the, mornings
light of gifts.
This
morning a candle shall sine bright. It
will shine with love and compassion.
Let
the voice of Angles and Christ, be
heard across the world.
Let
not a child’s cry, be
left to float on the winds of winter.
Let
the sins of man, be
forgiven on this night.
Let
this night spare those who have, given
more than any of us could have, for
it was and is their sacrifice, that
keeps us safe, in
the winter and summer of our life.
