I have no gift to bringA Poem by ronI have no gift to bring
A mere king can do nothing without, the heart of Christ.
And the drummer boy approached, with his broken lamb.
“I have only this drum”, said the boy.
The king said, “you have a gift greater than any I
could bring.”
And so the drummer boy approached, with sticks in hand he played his beats, for the child king.
The child king looked on and smiled.
And as the drummer boy played, a light shown over the lamb, and the lamb was healed.
But not only was the lamb healed, but the lame, sick, and destitute were
healed.
With each strike of the drum, our hearts and souls are healed, if we will only listen.
And in the softness of the cold night, the drummer boys strumming, shall heal with the power of the child
king, and bring upon the earth and all
mankind, the glory of peace.
When David’s star sits high over the
horizon, you too shall know that, a simple drummer boys strumming will
heal, hearts and bring kings to their knees.
And shall heal the lands that have
plagued, all who dwell here.
How simple would your gift be,
that wields such power? © 2014 ronAuthor's NoteReviews
