In the warmth of a winter’s nightA Poem by ronIn
the warmth of a winter’s night
And
the star lighted a path to, the
child of kings.
Angels
watched over him, as
their voices warmed the hearts of all who listened that night.
In
the arms of his mother Mary, the
child gave hope in those dark times.
Kings
bowed, as
shepherds prayed for the child king.
As
the night drew on, a
small shepherd boy came close with the only gift he had.
“Will
you accept my gift dear sweet Jesus?”
As
the child king smiled, the
little boy played his drum.
On that night a king was born, to
bring peace and love to all.
The
smallest of gifts given with love,
will
make kings of us all. © 2014 ronAuthor's Note
