This is just a small list of what it was like in the 60’s and 70’s music.

Jazz, Blues, surfer, R and B, Motown…

Modern-day music could not be what it is today without these and other musicians. So listen to what was to see what could be.

Well, I am older than you because I remember tunes from the 50s that you have not mentioned here. In fact yesterday an AM station I listened to as a kid were celebrating their 60th birthday. I remembered listening to them when they were only in operation for about 4 or 5 years!

'God only knows' was one of my favorites from the beach boys, along with summer, the first time from Bobby Goldsboro. There are so many others. I've listened to all of the above great stuff. A lot of today's music, due to the online sharing thing, has become homogenized and processed junk music.

There were sites you could go to where people shared files. As a result, the artist lost a lot of money. It changed the music industry for good. Today record companies are run by people who know nothing about music. They're mainly businessmen. Hence all the soundalikes on the radio.

I understand about people sharing files and the artist looses out. But everything your telling me is very confusing. I am a simple minded person.

Ah, you forgot "Sheila" by the Tommy Roe......LOL I love all of these songs and remember each one of them!! Yes, they have molded our music of today - but it's sure taken a big swing away from these great!!
