I lie here and dream of what is remembered,

of a love that never came.

wait for me at the corner of,

passion and youth,

at the moment of young love.

 

Love can do so much,

The second stanza is probably one of the most personally affecting things I've read in some time...I can't tell you how much I relate to that...I may never recoup all of the things that my youth took from me, or perhaps it's more accurate to say, the people I was surrounded by in my youth...but this whole piece went right to my heart...I'm thinking of Tom Petty now: the waiting is the hardest part...poignant and beautiful words my friend...I relate to it and I'm sure there are many others who will as well.

I can relate to that my friend...I think everything I write comes with at least one of those moments...very rarely am I not depressed after I finish a poem, even if I'm happy how it turns out, which is also a rarity mind you...

I had the original version of the song up but thought the movie version conveyed more emotion.
