My life lost all in ruins…

Take me; take me…please,

I need to know that my past is here with you.

I gaze into the rivers that flow past my time,

past who I am.

Take me to who I can could be.

Time is a cooling river that fills my spirit,

my spirit with tranquility.

Take me too dance in the Tuscany sun,

take me to my spirit and let it flow.

Let me see the sun dance on my soul,

let my passion ignite who I am.

Let the Gods and Goddesses take me to who you are,

make them cry out for my soul.

On bended knee with offerings of olive branch,

I beg you please; please take my saddened soul,

and throw it in the depths of the sands.

Let the waters of the ocean wash away my sins.

Let my soul touch your heart,

let passion explore your desires.

I beg you please; please take me who I am,

take me as I am.

Let the river take me to my boat,

my boat who is you.

And in the depths of my soul I feel who you are,

I see you; I see passion; I feel what words cannot explain.

I SEE ALL THAT YOU ARE,

I see the waves on the sands of your…

river.

Great song choice, I have this album...was it the inspiration of the poem? This is a gorgeous tribute to the healing power of a loving woman...I liked the idea of wanting her in your past, when most writers would suggest the future...the past may not hold great memories but her presence in the present and future would make up for all of it...a moving piece of yearning and devotion...great work ron.

Oh where's the fun in keeping out of trouble ;)? Just saying.
I think poetry with musical intention is always easier to feel within our depths.
You pen the need for the connection of your soul to the past, present and future of a loving devotion.
Well done Ron.

Thank you David. You are so kind to say so.
Ron, again I really like this kind of writing from you as it is filled with bravado, clear intentions, and with a passion that is almost as if you are writing from the depths of your soul. Your words flow like the river that flows past the boat. The music is beautiful with lyrics to inspire words as yours.........really wonderful write my friend!!
