The collarA Poem by ronThe
collar
It’s
not very big, with
a buckle or some kind of latching device.
It’s
picked out because of its color, design, or
some kind of sparkles on it.
But
whatever it looks like, it
is symbolic.
It’s
a symbol of giving over all that you are, being
owned by another.
Wearing
it doesn't mean you give up who you are, just
that you love another with all of yourself.
It
means that another will care for you, love
you, protect
you, make
sure all your needs and wants are taken care of.
But
most of all it’s a symbol of a bond between two people,
a
bond that can be stronger than matching rings on two fingers. © 2014 ronAuthor's Note
