I’m here for you

 

 

I’m here when you need me,

waiting patiently for when you call.

 

I know you are busy,

you have so much going on.

 

I don’t mind,

it’s what I do.

 

It’s part of who I am,

the waiting has been trained into me,

by others before we met.

 

I’m just happy that,

you answer when you do.

 

You get around to me,

when time allows you to.

 

And for that I am very thankful,

you see…

it brightens my day when you,

let me know I was not forgotten.

I can really relate to this poem! I'm always here for people, but some of them aren't there for me. The last line is very powerful : "it brightens my day when you, let me know I was not forgotten."
That last line brings the whole poem home, it shows how much you care about this person

You shouldn't have to feel this way, Ron. If someone truly cares they wouldn't allow it to be this way. You should always be first on their mind the same way they should be first on yours. Love is when you can't get enough of them, when you think about them constantly, when you call just to hear their voice. It is someone who gets in your heart, your head, your soul. It should be your best friend, who is the first person you call when you have news.... You are an awesome person and deserve to be happy. I hope you know this..

People have their own lives, and once in a while they drift away. If I don't wait for them, then I tend to be forgotten. So I wait.
